WhiteNote · updated July 2026
WhiteNote is an AI task assistant. We respect your data and collect only what is
needed for the app to work.
What we process
- Account — your email (or an Apple/Google identifier) for sign‑in and sync.
- Tasks — synced to our server and stored encrypted at rest (AES‑256).
The server can decrypt them so smart features work (AI, departure reminders). This is
“encryption at rest”, not “zero knowledge”.
- Assistant chat — synced to our server so your conversation follows you across
devices, stored encrypted at rest like tasks. Message text is sent to the AI model
to generate a reply. Photos you attach are passed to Anthropic in transit for processing
and are not stored on our server.
- Location — only with your permission. Used to estimate departure time with
live traffic. Your “frequent places” history stays on your device only and is not
sent to the server.
- Notification token — to deliver your reminders.
Who data is shared with
- Anthropic (Claude) — processes message text and attached photos to produce the
assistant’s reply.
- Google — Directions API for travel time; Google sign‑in (if you use it).
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, push notification delivery.
- Cloudflare — backend hosting and data storage.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Retention & deletion
Data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account and all
associated data at any time in Profile → Delete account — immediately, or with a
30‑day grace period that you can cancel.
